OPTIONAL EXTRAS

These add-ons to our basic feature package will normally only be required by more advanced web sites.

1. Additional disk space is available at R50/month per 5 MB block, or R95/month per 10 MB block.

2. If you wish to use SSL encryption (secure web pages) there is a once-off set-up fee of R500 to configure it for your domain. There is no monthly fee for this service.

3. If you would rather use the on-line real-time statistics server, instead of downloading and processing your own log files, then there is a once-off fee of R100 to configure it for your domain, and a monthly fee of R40.

4. If you require ODBC DSN connections to be configured for your databases then there is no set-up fee. There is a monthly fee of R100/month per DSN. Remember, you don’t actually require these, as unlimited numbers of DSN-less connections to your databases are FREE.

5. If you are using Microsoft® Access as your database then its performance usually starts to degrade at about 50MB file size with multiple connections. In this case we can provide you with Microsoft® SQL Server 7.0 as a database option. There is a set-up fee of R250 to configure this service into your domain, as well as an additional monthly fee of R250/month to use it. This includes an initial space allocation of 10 MB for SQL Server storage space. Additional disk space can be purchased (in blocks of 10 MB only) at any time at R95/month per 10 MB block.

6. If you purchase your own Digital ID from Thawte or VeriSign there is a once off set- up fee of R1000 to install your personal certificate on the server. There is no monthly fee for this service.

7. If you would like to configure additional "pointer" domain names for your web site there is a once-off set-up fee of R200 to configure your existing web site per additional new name. There is a monthly fee of R50 per additional "pointer" domain name.

8. Our server allows you to have canonical names (sometimes called sub-domains) for your web site. These are web addresses in addition to the normal www.yourdomain.co.za , like sales.yourdomain.co.za or capeoffice.yourdomain.co.za. There is a once off set-up fee of R100, and a monthly fee of R50 per canonical name.
